Richard Anderson is the Managing Principal with CQI Associates. The firm is located in Columbia, Maryland and provides consulting services assisting public and private clients throughout the region in improving and developing programs to optimize energy resources, reduce environmental liability, and improve facilities management practices. Services include: assessment of existing programs, program development, program planning, staff training, and project management.
Mr. Anderson also works with the Maryland Energy Institute, Association of Energy Engineers, National Association of Environmental Management, and the National Environmental Education and Training Foundation. He has developed a series of on-going training programs to include the national workshop series entitled Creating Business Value Through Strategic Energy Management and the Application of Energy Resource Management Principles - a professional development course offered at Howard Community College in Howard County, Maryland.
CQI has conducted energy management programs that have saved clients over $100,000,000 following the implementation of the recommendations developed by the firm and has conducted over 50 energy procurement bids since September 1999 that have included over 8,000 accounts for over 3,000 locations. The estimated value of the supply services purchased is over $300,000,000. The bids have been conducted in the four major utility service areas in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and in 16 states including California.
CQI is licensed in Maryland as a “Client Aggregator and Client Broker” with the Maryland Public Service Commission.
Mr. Anderson strongly believes that an organization can improve quality while optimizing the use of existing resources.
